Is space exploration worth the cost?
下記は英検が速報の中で紹介した「解答例」です
これについてコメントしていきます
一番気を付けるべき点は、宇宙開発のメリットを挙げるだけではなく、それらがコストに引き合うか（見合うか）という点です
コストに見合うという表現がなければ、頓珍漢な答えになってしまうので、気をつけましょう
●Write an essay on the given TOPIC. →要するに、出した課題に対して答えになっているかという点を見られるのですが、完璧です
●Give THREE reasons to support your answer. →第2、3、4段落で一つずつ述べています
●Structure: introduction, main body, and conclusion →introduction：第1段落, main body：第2、3、4段落, and conclusion第5段落という構成であり、完璧
●Suggested length: 200-240 words →244単語ですが、採点者は単語数を実際は数えているとは思えません、解答用紙の25-30行に納まっていればOKと判定しているはずです
■イントロダクション
Space offers infinite resources and opportunities, and, despite the cost, exploring it should be a priority for governments.
Apart from the chance of discovering planets offering potential refuge outside of Earth, space exploration could allow contact with advanced life forms, and it provides countries opportunities to cooperate and strengthen international relations.
最初に、宇宙開発は進めるべきだとの結論を示しています
・宇宙は、無限の資源と機会を提供し、コストはかかるものの、政府は宇宙開発を優先すべきだ－
・宇宙開発には3つの利点がある
① the chance of discovering planets offering potential refuge outside of Earth
②allow contact with advanced life forms
③provides countries opportunities to cooperate and strengthen international relations.

Global warming and overpopulation pose a threat to the sustainability of life on Earth.
The day will come when humans can no longer subsist on Earth's dwindling resources.

Lastly, space exploration affords the opportunity for unprecedented international cooperation.
The International Space Station, for example, is used for research by scientists from around the world.

Space exploration is essential to humanity's survival.
The costs involved pale in comparison to the benefits humans stand to gain from finding habitable planets, learning from intelligent life forms, and international collaboration.

・gain from ①finding habitable planets（メインボディ①）, ②learning from intelligent life forms（メインボディ②）, and③ international collaboration（メインボディ③）.と比べると、宇宙開発に要するコストは小さなものである
