AI関連の海外放送を聞いていて、こんな英文に出会いました。

ここでの iteration は「繰り返し」というより、改良を重ねてできた最新版・新しいバージョンという意味です。
■ iterate【動詞】
「繰り返す、反復して改良する」
1. We iterate the design. 設計を繰り返し改善する。
2. We need to iterate quickly. 素早く改善を繰り返す必要がある。
3. The team iterated the model. チームはモデルを繰り返し改良した。
4. They iterate based on feedback. フィードバックをもとに改善を重ねる。

「反復、改良版、バージョン」
1. This is the latest iteration. これが最新版です。

■ reiterate【動詞】
こちらは意味がかなり違います。
reiterate = すでに言ったことをもう一度言う、繰り返し強調する

私の主張をもう一度強調したいと思います。

大統領は支持する考えを改めて表明しました。
■ say / repeat / reiterate の違い
say = 言う
repeat = 同じことを繰り返す
reiterate = 大切なので改めて言う・強調する
つまり、
iterate → 改良を繰り返す
iteration → 改良を重ねた版
reiterate → 発言・主張を改めて繰り返す
と整理すると覚えやすいでしょう。
AI関連のニュースでは the latest iteration of ～ という表現をよく目にします。
いつも言っていますが、単語は単語単体で覚えてはいけません。
単語は、かたまり、短い用例で覚えていくのが効果的です。
