2年経っていますが、今出題されてもまったく違和感がありません
私のスタンスは、下記です
・科学は万能ではないし、使い方を間違えると却って問題を大きくするが、科学技術の活用で、下記の3つの大きな課題が解決できる。
・医療の面。特に遺伝子に起因する病気や、がん、心臓病などを克服できる
・食糧増産。遺伝子操作で自然環境に強く、病害虫に強く、収穫量が増え、味も良くなる品種ができる。現在の食糧不足問題の解決だけでなく、今後の人口増加に対応できる。
・環境保護。CO2を酸素と炭素に分解し、酸素だけ空気中に排出したり、大気中に出た余分なCO2を吸収して同様の措置で酸素だけ空気中に出し、炭素はマテリアルとして使うことでグローバルウォーミング/気候変動問題を解決できる。遺伝子操作でプラスティックを食べるバクテリアを生み出すことでプラスチックごみ問題を解決できる

With advances in genetics, it may soon be possible to prevent or cure diseases caused by genetic problems, including cancer and heart disease. These breakthroughs could greatly improve the quality of life for many people around the world.
Second, science can help solve the problem of food shortages. Genetically modified crops can grow in difficult environments, resist pests, produce larger harvests, and even taste better. These innovations can not only address current food insecurity but also help support the growing global population in the future.
Third, scientific solutions are essential to protect the environment. New technologies may allow us to remove CO₂ from the atmosphere by breaking it down into oxygen and carbon, then reusing the carbon as material. In addition, genetically engineered bacteria that can eat plastic could help solve the plastic waste problem.
In conclusion, science is not a magic solution, but with careful use, it is one of the most powerful tools to solve the problems humanity faces today.225
