英検1級道場－人生相談に近い問い合わせが来るようになりました
9月18日に国連総会でグテーレス事務総長から驚くべき発言がありました。
この9月は、2015年9月に採択され、2030年が期限のSDGsの中間地点ですが、進捗率がわずか15％というスローペースで、達成が大いに危ぶまれるというものです
公開された資料からいくつかのポイントを拾いました
・全世界が参加するSDGsサミットが開かれた（9/16-9/17）
・17の取り組み項目があり、1～6は人間に関するもの、7～12は経済に関するもの、13～17は地球規模の課題に関する事柄
・17の項目にはそれぞれ具体的なアクションアイテムがあり、全部で169項目
・全世界で合意してスタートしたが、SDGsには強制力は無く、各国の努力義務
・特に、所得の低い途上国では進捗を見せるよりもむしろ後退している項目がある
・達成度では1位から6位までが、フィンランド、スウェーデン、デンマーク、ドイツ、オーストリア、フランス（すべてEU）
・日本は後退し21位、アメリカ39位、中国63位
・日本は 5（男女平等），12（プラスチックなどのごみ），13（化石燃料が多い），14，15が課題として指摘されている
・各項目は相互に関連しており、16が悪化すれば7，9，1も悪影響を受ける。3が悪化すれば4，8，10も連鎖的に悪化する。13は15，3に影響するなど
このように、総論賛成だが、それぞれの事情があり、目論見通りに進んでいないのが折り返し時点での状況です
英検は読解、英作文、2次試験でSDGsに関わる記事やトピックが出されるケースが目立つので、日頃から関係する知識、情報を集めることが大事です
