Should investment in technology　be a bigger priority　for government?

　　A growing concern in the world nowadays is that investment in technology should be a bigger priority for government. I agree with this opinion. I’d like to explain my opinion with three reasons in this essay.

　　First of all, energy resources are changing from fossil fuels to renewable energies such as solar power, wind one and thermal energy in the world. In order to comply with UN goals’ SDGs, subsidies in technology should be a bigger priority for government.

　　Secondly, there are many companies put emphasis on protecting environment. For example, big automobile companies in Japan are shifting in car production from gas-cars to electric vehicles. Investing subsidies to such such companies will be sure to return profits for government in the future.

　　Finally, investing in technology leads to give job opportunities in foreign countries. For example, foreign factories of Japanese companies are straggling for continuing employ local workers in international competition.

　　With investment in technology to such places, government should play an important role as an international member of the world.

　　 I’d like to emphasize again, transience of energy resources, environmentally friendly attitude and giving job opportunities in foreign factories are three reasons why I agree that investment in technology should be a bigger priority for government.
