Agree or disagree: Japan will benefit overall from hosting the 2020 Summer Olympics
An impending issue to discuss nowadays is whether or not Japan will benefit over all from hosting the 2020 summer Olympics. I totally agree. I’d like to explain this cause in with three reasons in this essay.
First of all, this coming Olympics will boost Japanese economy to be sure. For example, Japanese government predicts that the number of foreign tourists coming to Japan from every country will increase by 40 million in 2020. These tourists will break of economic deflation that is casting over some decades of Japan.
Secondly, national event like hosting Olympics Games can unite the nation and grow people’s patriotism. For example, every Japanese will begin to think that what one will be able to do for Japan for oneself in 2020. As a result, this kind of mindset will lead to a good patriotism.
Finally, hosting Olympics Games can improve every national’s English ability. For instance, considering that English is lingua franca, The Japanese Education Ministry has already set the curriculum that English is a compulsory subject from third grade of elementary school. The fact will lead to the future that Japan will be able to keep up with global competition.
I’d like to emphasize again, boosting Japanese economy, growing patriotism and improving nation’s English ability are three reasons why I agree that Japan will benefit over all from hosting the 2020 summer Olympics. (230 words)
