宗教が世界に与える影響を考察してみる。

一方、この課題を通し、いかに宗教が世界に影響を及ぼしているか、そして、宗教が形骸化している日本の現状をも振り返る機会としたいと思います。それにより、生徒が「自分は無宗教」と思っている場合でも、実は日常に宗教文化が入り込んでいることに気づかせるきっかけになるのではと思います。
また、世界の宗教との比較も自然に導けるのではないかと期待します。
端的には、今回のテーマ「イスラエルとイランの対立」→「宗教宗世界に与える影響」→「日本における宗教のあり方」への展開は、下記のポイントをを照射します。
1）国際理解
2）自国文化への再認識
3）英語でのクリティカル・シンキング
そこで、「なぜイスラエルとイランの対立・戦争が起きているのか」を宗教の観点から説明した、英検準2級レベルの英語で約250字にまとめた下記の英文を読解します。
Why Are Israel and Iran Fighting? – A Religious Point of View
Israel and Iran have many problems with each other. One important reason is religion. Israel is a Jewish country, and Iran is a Muslim country. Most people in Iran follow a branch of Islam called Shia. These two religions have different histories, beliefs, and traditions.
Long ago, Jewish people and Muslim people started in the same area, the Middle East. But they have had many conflicts over land and faith. Iran does not agree with Israel’s policies, especially about Palestine. Iran supports a group called Hamas, which fights against Israel. Iran believes that the land of Israel belongs to Muslims, not Jews.
Also, Iran’s leaders often say that Israel should not exist. This makes Israel feel very unsafe. Because of this, Israel sees Iran as a big danger. So both countries are afraid of each other, and sometimes they attack each other directly or through other groups.
In short, the fight between Israel and Iran is not only about politics. It is also about deep religious beliefs and long history. That’s why the problem is so difficult to solve.
