We received a request from Company A regarding the possibility of obtaining a patent for technology C related to the processing of material B.
2. Actions Taken
In this case, we first conducted an interview to understand the details of technology C, and then organized and grasped the structure and features of the invention. Based on this, from the perspective of patent practice, we conducted a patent search to determine the novelty of technology C and determined that it was registrable.
Furthermore, regarding the processing steps for material B, we organized the process flow and the relationships between steps into a process flowchart, and created documentation considering consistency with the drawings.
In addition, based on the created drawings and process flowchart, we reviewed and prepared patent application documents, including the claims and specification, to appropriately reflect the gist of the invention and its technical features.
