2. Solution
The grounds for refusal were that the intention to use the trademark for the designated services was unclear, and that the trademark itself merely indicated the content of the services and lacked distinctiveness.
In this case, in particular, the core term was being used in a generic manner, making careful consideration of the possibility of registration necessary. After examining the trademark's composition, it was determined that the core term was generic, lacked distinctiveness on its own, and was highly likely to be refused. On the other hand, since trademarks are judged based on an overall assessment, we considered ways to increase the possibility of registration, such as creating unity through the entire phrase and symbol, and reinforcing distinctiveness through logoization.
