額修復完了　華王寺様（川原保育園）

額修復　納品・取付作業

本日は華王子様（川原保育園）へ納品してまいりました。

大雪の降る時期にお預かりし、お盆前の今日、ようやく修復が完了しました。

無事に納めることができてほっとするとともに、お喜びの声をいただき大変嬉しく思います。

損傷部分の修復と補彩に時間を要しました。

修復前よりひと回り大きな額を新調し、その分、本金箔もしっかりまわしております。

古い本金屏風の金箔を再利用したため時代も調和し、落ち着いた仕上がりになったと思います。

この度は素敵なご縁をいただき、誠にありがとうございました。


















Restoration of a framed calligraphy — delivery and installation

Today the finished piece was delivered to Keoji (Kawahara Nursery School).

It came into our hands in the season of heavy snow, and now, just before Obon, the restoration is at last complete.

I am relieved to have delivered it safely, and very glad to have been met with such kind words.

Repairing the damaged areas and retouching the losses required considerable time.

We made a new frame, one size larger than the original, and with that added width we ran genuine gold leaf generously around the work.

Because the gold leaf was taken from an old screen of genuine gold, its age settles in harmony with the piece, and the finish has a quiet composure to it.
