Considering the optimal application format for logo trademarks and word trademarks.

Company A consulted us regarding filing a trademark application for a new logo and name they plan to use.
2. Solution
After consideration, it was found that the name contained elements similar to trademarks already registered by other companies, as well as general terms indicating the quality and content of the goods. Therefore, it was considered highly likely that registration would not be granted if the name were applied for alone. To increase the likelihood of registration, we proposed combining these terms to form a unified trademark, or adding graphic features as a logo. In particular, we explained that creating a logo would strengthen the overall distinctiveness of the trademark and increase the likelihood of registration.

3. Conclusion
In trademark applications, failing to thoroughly consider similarity to existing trademarks and distinctiveness increases the risk of rejection.
