Company A inquired about the existence of identical or similar prior registered trademarks for "Name B" in Class X and Class Y.

2. Solutions
Based on the consultation details, we conducted a prior trademark search for "Name B" in Class X and Class Y using the Japan Patent Information Platform (J-PlatPat).
First, a search using the IPC (International Patent Classification) revealed a prior registered trademark for "Name B" in Class X. However, we confirmed that the trademark's rights had already expired. Therefore, we determined that "Name B" is registrable in Class X.
