1．相談の内容

1. Consultation Details
Company A consulted us regarding the renewal and changes to their company logo trademark registration. Ten years had passed since the registration date, and this year was the deadline for the renewal application, which was submitted just past the expiration date. Furthermore, the company also wanted to change the logo design to coincide with this renewal.
2. Solution
Trademark renewal must be completed six months prior to the expiration date, but renewal applications can be submitted within a certain period even after the application deadline. Therefore, we reviewed the renewal registration deadline and grace period under the Trademark Act. Next, we considered the optimal method for handling logo changes simultaneously with the renewal application. We prepared the necessary documents and created an application draft to ensure the changes were reflected in the registration.
