1. ご相談内容
新サービスの立ち上げに向けて、
株式会社A様より、「名称B」について商標登録ができるか調査してほしいとのご依頼をいただきました。
サービス名・商品名は、ビジネスの“顔”。
だからこそ、使いたい名前が本当に使えるか、事前のチェックはとても重要です。
2. 調査のポイント＆結果
私たちでは、**特許庁公式データベース「J-PlatPat」**を活用し、以下の2点を中心に商標調査を実施：
商標としての識別力があるか
同一・類似の商標が同一区分で既に登録・出願されていないか
調査の結果：
「名称B」は第X類で過去に他社で登録されていた商標でしたが、
現在は登録の有効期限が切れていることを確認しました。
このため、名称Bには商標としての識別力があると考えられます。
現時点で先行する同一・類似の登録商標も存在しないため、
「名称B」での商標出願は可能と判断されます。

Trademark Investigation
1. Consultation Details
In preparation for the launch of a new service,
Company A requested us to investigate whether "Name B" could be registered as a trademark.
Service and product names are the "face" of a business.
That's why it's so important to check in advance whether the name you want to use is actually available.
2. Investigation Key Points and Results
We conducted a trademark investigation using the official Japan Patent Office database, "J-PlatPat," focusing on the following two points:
Whether the name has distinctiveness as a trademark.
Whether an identical or similar trademark has already been registered or applied for in the same class.
Investigation Results:
"Name B" was previously registered by another company in Class X, but
we confirmed that the registration has now expired.
For this reason, Name B is considered to have distinctiveness as a trademark.
Since there are currently no identical or similar registered trademarks,
it is deemed possible to file a trademark application for "Name B."
