1．相談の内容

1. Consultation Details
Company A contacted us seeking to secure rights for an invention of specialized equipment in the form of a patent, utility model, or design. The company wanted to determine the novelty and inventive step of its invention, as well as the optimal approach to protection.

2. Solution
First, we conducted a prior art search before filing the application. Results revealed that major companies already held related patent rights, and numerous similar products and related patents existed. Therefore, rather than simply presenting the results of this search, we meticulously reviewed each relevant cited document and carefully analyzed the scope and technical concept of each claim to highlight the essential features of Company A's invention. Furthermore, to ensure a thorough search, we used the IPC classification and conducted a comprehensive search while narrowing down the field. In the process, we compared the scope of patents of competing products to determine the position of Company A's technology and its unique features.
