1．相談の内容
クライアントは、電気分野における計測装置に関する発明を実施したいと考えていますが、他人の特許権を侵害する可能性があるとして、当事務所に相談されました。
2．解決策
当事務所では、特許庁の特許情報プラットフォーム（J-PlatPat）を活用し、クライアントの発明に関連する他人の特許を調査しました。調査結果に基づき、各特許の技術的特徴（発明のポイント）を抽出し、課題や解決手段ごとに分類・整理しました。
さらに、拒絶査定となった特許出願や、既に権利が消滅している特許についても参照することで、クライアントの発明が実施可能な範囲、すなわち他人の特許権を回避できる領域を明確にしました。

1. Content of the consultation
The client wanted to implement inventions relating to measuring devices in the electrical field, but consulted our office because there was a possibility that the invention might infringe on the patent rights of others.
2. Solution
Our office used the Japan Patent Office's Patent Information Platform (J-PlatPat) to investigate other people's patents related to the client's invention. Based on the results of the investigation, we extracted the technical features (key points of the invention) of each patent, and classified and organized them by issue and solution method.
In addition, by referring to patent applications that have been rejected and patents whose rights have already expired, we clarified the scope of the client's invention, that is, the area in which the patent rights of others can be avoided.
