1．ご相談内容
株式会社A社様より、「素材Xを活用した商品Yに関する技術（技術B）が、すでに他社により特許化されていないか？」というご相談をいただきました。
独自のアイデアに基づいた製品開発が進んでいる中で、先行する知的財産の存在や、競合による実施状況の有無を事前に確認したいというご要望でした。

2．調査と分析内容
弊所では、まず技術Bについて、特許文献およびインターネット上の情報を対象とした徹底的な調査を実施。
その結果、すでに類似の技術が他社によって実際に実施・販売されている事例が複数確認されました。

また、技術の核心である「素材X」に着目し、X1、X2、X3といった具体的な化学素材を検索キーワードとして用いた上で、関連する先行技術文献の洗い出しを実施。

さらに、該当技術Bと酷似する製品が、すでに複数のWebショップで公開・販売されている事実も確認できました。

これらの調査結果を踏まえ、技術Bについては「新規性」が認められないと判断され、特許出願は難しい可能性が高いという結論に至りました。

Patent research on technology

1. Consultation content
Company A Co., Ltd. consulted us on whether technology (technology B) related to product Y using material X has already been patented by another company.

As they were developing a product based on their own idea, they wanted to check in advance whether there was any prior intellectual property or whether it was being implemented by competitors.

2. Research and analysis content
First, our firm conducted a thorough research on technology B, targeting patent documents and information on the Internet.

As a result, we found several cases in which similar technologies had already been implemented and sold by other companies.

In addition, we focused on "material X," the core of the technology, and used specific chemical materials such as X1, X2, and X3 as search keywords to identify related prior art documents.

In addition, we were able to confirm that products very similar to technology B were already published and sold in multiple online shops.

Based on these investigation results, we concluded that technology B was not "novel" and that it would likely be difficult to apply for a patent.
