1．相談の内容
お客様から、機材の新しいデザインに関する意匠登録のご相談をいただきました。
2．解決策
まず初めに、先行意匠調査を実施しました。類似する機材の有無を確認しました。この調査により、新規性や創作非容易性といった登録要件を満たしていることが判明したため、意匠登録の手続きを進めることにいたしました。意匠登録には願書と図面の提出が必要です。特に、今回の機材は、従来のデザインとは異なる独自の外観を持っていたため、その特徴を正確に表現するために、複数の図面を作成しました。具体的には、最も伸びた状態、最も縮んだ状態、その中間など、動作中の様々な変化の形態を示す図面を用意しました。これにより、基本の形状に加え、動きによって生じる変化も明確に表現し、独創的なデザインとしての保護可能性を高めることができました。

About design drawings that arise from movement
1. Content of the consultation
The customer consulted us about a design registration for a new design for wiring equipment.
2. Solution
First, we conducted a prior design search. We checked whether there were any similar equipment. This search revealed that the registration requirements, such as novelty and ease of creation, were met, so we decided to proceed with the design registration procedure. Design registration requires the submission of an application and drawings. In particular, since this equipment had a unique appearance that was different from previous designs, we created multiple drawings to accurately express its characteristics. Specifically, we prepared drawings that show various changes during operation, such as the most extended state, the most retracted state, and states in between. This allowed us to clearly express not only the basic shape, but also the changes that occur due to movement, increasing the possibility of protection as an original design.
