1．相談の内容
株式会社A社から、名称Eで商標登録出願が可能かどうか、お問い合わせがありました。
2．解決策
名称Eには、類似の名称C、名称Dがあり、ともに商標登録出願されていました。名称Eは、指定商品との関係で、特定の区分a類に分類され、類似群コードは、bとなることが分かりました。ここで、お客様から名称Eに追加するキーワードとして、F、G、Hの3種類が挙げられましたので、3種類のキーワードを考慮して、もっとも商標登録可能性の高いキーワードの組み合わせを検索することとなりました。
j-platpatで、これらのキーワードに対して、区分aや、類似群コードbで検索を行ったところ、キーワードF、Hで検索した先行登録商標の結果が少なく、キーワードGで検索した先行登録商標の結果が多く、キーワードF、Hの組み合わせでは、商標登録可能性が高いことを提案しました。

Possibility of trademark registration
1. Content of consultation
Company A contacted us to ask if it is possible to apply for trademark registration for name E.
2. Solution
Name E has similar names C and D, both of which have been applied for trademark registration. Name E is classified as a specific category a in relation to the designated goods, and the similar group code is b. Here, the customer suggested three keywords, F, G, and H, to add to name E, so we decided to search for the combination of keywords that is most likely to be registered as a trademark, taking into consideration the three keywords.
When we searched for these keywords in category a and similar group code b using j-platpat, there were few results for prior registered trademarks searched for with keywords F and H, and many results for prior registered trademarks searched for with keyword G, so we suggested that the combination of keywords F and H has a high possibility of trademark registration.
