1．相談の内容
A社は化学機器に関する技術的特徴を有する製品を開発中であり、特許、意匠、実用新案の先行技術について相談を受けました。
2．解決策
今回は、特許情報プラットフォーム（J-PlatPat）上で、新規性や進歩性の評価と、類似する既存の権利の確認を行いました。A社の場合、特許請求の範囲を適切に設定し、独自の技術的特徴を明確に示すことで、新規性・進歩性を主張できる要素を強調すれば、新規性・進歩性が認められる可能性が高いと判断し、出願のご提案をさせていただきました。
特許（または実用新案）の他、意匠権も戦略的に組み合わせることで、機能や技術、外観の全てを守り、多角的に保護することができます。

Regarding prior art consultation
1. Content of the consultation
Company A is currently developing a product with technical characteristics related to chemical equipment and was consulted regarding prior art for patents, designs, and utility models.
2. Solution
This time, we conducted a search on the patent information platform (J-PlatPat) to evaluate novelty and inventive step, and to confirm similar existing rights. In the case of Company A, we determined that if they properly set the scope of the patent claims and clearly show the unique technical features, emphasizing the elements that can be asserted as novelty and inventive step, there is a high possibility that novelty and inventive step will be recognized, and we proposed that they file an application.
By strategically combining design rights with patents (or utility models), it is possible to protect all functions, technologies, and appearances, and provide multifaceted protection.
