1．相談の内容
株式会社A社は、自社で開発した商品Bを国内で販売し、日本国で商標Cの商標登録出願をしました。商品Bを海外で販売することを考え、商品Bの模倣防止のために、海外に向けて商標Cで商標登録出願することを検討しています。出願を行う際に補助金を受け取ることができないかどうか、お問い合わせがありました。
2．解決策
株式会社A社は、商標Cに関して日本ですでに商標登録出願を行っています。株式会社A社は、商標Cでマドプロ出願するためにD国、E国、F国、G国の各国で商標Cと同一又は類似する先行登録商標があるかどうか、TM VIEWやWIPO Global Brand Databaseで調査したところ、特に懸念される登録商標はありませんでした。マドプロ出願とは、マドリッド・プロトコル（マドリッド協定議定書）に基づく国際商標登録制度を利用して、複数の国や地域で商標を保護する手続きです。一般社団法人発明推進協会に間接補助金交付申請書を提出することによって、補助金を受け取ることができます。補助金を受け取るために、申請者、商標の内容、商標出願に係る事業関連などの内容を書類に記入して、申請を支援しました。

3．結論
自社で開発した商品の商標を海外で出願する際に、海外で商標登録出願を行い、それによって補助金を受け取りたい方は、どうぞご連絡下さい。

Preparation of an indirect subsidy application for an overseas trademark application
1. Content of the consultation
Company A Co., Ltd. sells product B, which it developed, domestically and has filed a trademark registration application for trademark C in Japan. Considering selling product B overseas, the company is considering filing a trademark registration application for trademark C overseas to prevent imitation of product B. The company asked whether it would be possible to receive subsidies when filing the application.
2. Solution
Company A Co., Ltd. has already filed a trademark registration application for trademark C in Japan. In order to file a Madrid Protocol application for trademark C, Company A Co., Ltd. investigated using TM VIEW and the WIPO Global Brand Database whether there were any prior registered trademarks identical or similar to trademark C in countries D, E, F, and G, but found no registered trademarks of particular concern. A Madrid Protocol application is a procedure for protecting a trademark in multiple countries and regions using the international trademark registration system based on the Madrid Protocol. Subsidies can be received by submitting an indirect subsidy application to the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation. To receive the subsidy, you will need to fill out a form with information about the applicant, the trademark, and the business related to the trademark application, and then submit a trademark application.
