1．相談の内容
クライアントは、新規の測定器の開発のために、海外他社の技術動向を知りたいと考えており、弊所に技術動向調査を依頼されました。
2．解決策
海外他社の技術動向を調べるために、欧州特許庁の特許検索サービス「Espacenet」を用いて海外特許文献調査を行いました。その結果、競合他社の特許文献では、従来のハードウェアに関わる技術に、最近の機械学習等のソフトウェアの技術を加えたものが多数存在することが分かりました。これによって、技術のトレンドを把握し、新規の技術開発に関する知見を得ることができました。

The client wanted to know about technological trends at overseas companies in order to develop new measuring instruments, and asked us to conduct a technology trend survey.

In order to investigate technological trends at overseas companies, we conducted a search of overseas patent documents using the European Patent Office's patent search service "Espacenet." As a result, we found that many of our competitors' patent documents included recent software technologies such as machine learning in addition to traditional hardware technologies. This allowed us to understand technology trends and gain insight into new technology development.
